Two things to note though. It’s this era of Trump that inspired the “Biff finds the Gray’s Sports Almanac” version of 1985 in Back To The Future II.

As well as the Post-Crisis On Infinite Earth version of Superman’s greatest arch villain Lex Luthor who is more of a twisted corporate tycoon/real estate magnate (though there is a hint of real estate grabbing in Gene Hackman’s portrayal of The Greatest Criminal Mind of Our Time) that is also interested in science and technology. As opposed to the complete evil genius scientist he was pre-Crisis.

There is even a...I forget if it’s a one-shot or a limited mini-series but it’s a comic book titled “Biography of Lex Luthor” where the first cover is literally a takeoff of The Art of The Deal’s cover!

And it’s that version of Luthor that is still in the comics and other media versions of him (Smallville, Lois & Clark, animated, Arrowverse shows, Snyderverse DCU, etc) to this day.

So, I think they got Trump as he was in the 1980s right though.
